Ashton Drake Blythe Dolls are reproduction blythe dolls that were made with the intention of being true to the vintage 1972 Kenner Blythe dolls image. I think the dolls are cute but after having 3, myself, I believe that they did not really do it. The outfits and accessories are really well done but the dolls themselves are lacking a bit since they do not really look like the original and smell of bad plastic imo. One of my favorite blythe dolls include ” The success in Japan led Hasbro to issue a license to Ashton-Drake Galleries in 2004 to sell Blythe replica dolls in the United States, where the doll became a niche product in a marginal market, selling largely to adults.” Snipped from Wiki. 12 ADD were produced in total and they include: Flower Power, Pretty Paisley, Perfect Parfait, Golden Goddess, Medieval Mood, Pleasant Peasant, Roaring Red, Kozy Kape, Lounging Lovely, Pow Wow Poncho, Aztec Arrival and Pinafore Purple.
